My amazing friend Nancy posted a wonderful blog today of things she learned. Not only is her post entertaining and insightful, but it was inspiring! I liked the concept so much that I decided to figure out what I’ve learned today.
- Unfortunately, the first thing that comes to mind was referenced in my last post – I’m not as young as I used to be. When I slip and fall I can’t bounce right back up and keep on truckin’ like the kids can.
- When maple drippies coat the plywood ramp, and torrential rains pour down on it, it becomes like Pledge on hardwood.
- Twelve-year-old boys can’t stop themselves from laughing – even when they know they shouldn’t.
I also learned:
- Austin can clean the table when he wants to.
- I love the sound of rain on my new hat.
- I’m not as good with change as I like to think I am.
- I’m really struggling with getting rid of our satellite tv service
- I hate hate hate that my favorite burger place is moving to the “big city.”
- I used to own a Kindle. I do believe it is now my husband’s Kindle. (Does this mean he now has to buy me an iPad?)
- I’m too tired these days to think about what I’ve learned on any given day. In fact, I’m so tired the room is spinning. ‘Night!
